David Morgan

Captain David Morgan joined Air New Zealand as a pilot in 1985 and became a member of the Flight Operations management team in 1996.  Since then David has held several senior operational management positions and was appointed to the Executive in 2006 and is currently the Chief Flight Operations & Safety Officer and Chief Pilot.

In this role David is responsible for determining the policy, procedures and standards by which Air New Zealand's aircraft are operated, is accountable for defining, implementing and reporting on both operational safety and the safety and wellbeing of the Air New Zealand team.

David holds accountability for Sustainability and Environmental matters, the Aviation Institute (which provides training to both internal and external customers), Group Security and Emergency Management. He is also a current Boeing 777 and 787 pilot.
