Women of Influence story  
Congratulations to all the wāhine toa nominated for the 2018 Women of Influence awards, supported by SBC members Westpac and Stuff. We are proud to see Jody Hamilton of JMP Consulting nominated for her economic and social development work. Jody has been leading our Social Impact work here at SBC, and talked to TVNZ in March about youth employment.  
Zero Carbon implications for transport 
SBC Chair and Toyota NZ CEO, Alistair Davis, looks at the low emissions economy from a transport perspective, including the potential for feebates, fuel pricing and scrapping older vehicles. 
Measuring and managing emissions
Businesses may need advice or assistance to measure their emissions, set targets and report on their performance. We have just released an SBC Quick Guide with information about companies in New Zealand and overseas who can help.  
SBC in the regions 
This week, SBC was in Tauranga sharing sustainability trends and insights at the Export NZ Bay of Plenty E.A.T. Breakfast series. Great to be there alongside the Sustainable Business Network, Trevelyan's Pack & Cool Ltd and Zespri International. 
Update on corporate reporting 
Greater transparency and better corporate reporting will add value to companies and investors. The World Business Council on Sustainable Development have just updated their library of rankings and ratings on the Reporting Exchange, in partnership with the Global Initiative for Sustainability Ratings. They will hold a webinar from 4-5pm (CEST) (for earlybirds - that's 6am NZ time) on Weds 8 August. For more information, watch this video about the Reporting Exchange.
Elections for Advisory Board + FLP Alumni 
Voting for the SBC Advisory Board and Future Leaders' Alumni representative will close at 5pm, Wednesday 8 August. The results will be announced at SBC's Annual Council Meeting on 15 August. More information on voting has been sent to Business Council members.
