Sustainability milestones for Countdown
Countdown are making progress on their 20 sustainability commitments to 2020, including phasing out single-use plastic carrier bags at 42 more stores from 13 August, and installing 20 yellow speed bumps in the car park at their support office in Favona, Auckland - each one made out of 4000 recycled plastic bags. 
Kiwis get serious about EVs 
In a new survey released by Mercury, 84% of respondents agree EVs are ‘the way of the future’ and 46% are considering getting an EV in the next 2 years. Mercury Chief Marketing Officer, Julia Jack, talks about the research. And the Government will co-fund 19 new electric vehicle projects, with another funding round open from 15 August. 
Crowdsourcing climate action in Auckland

World: Natural capital guide for forest sector
The World Business Council on Sustainable Development have just published a Forest Products Sector Guide with the Natural Capital Coalition to help businesses identify what role natural capital plays in their value chain, to better measure and value it.
