World-leading Wellington Zoo Wellington Zoo has been asked by a UN-backed organisation to develop a sustainability framework for zoos and aquariums around the world. It was the first zoo in New Zealand to gain CarboNZero certification, and has gained international recognition for its work to reduce its emissions and impact on the environment. World's first electric container barges to set sail The world’s first fully-electric and self-piloting container barges will soon be operating from the European ports of Antwerp, Amsterdam and Rotterdam. They've been nicknamed the 'Tesla of the canals'. Read more here.
New public artwork brings rainbow of colour The Auckland Pride Festival got a colourful kick-off this weekend in Britomart, with an art installationby talented artist and Westpac employee Shannon Novak. The artwork, covering three air bridges at Westpac's HQ, represents diversity and inclusion.
Going Good in the Hood Z Energy’s annual Good in the Hood community fundraising program is back and applications are open. Good in the Hood is part of Z’s commitment to give back to the communities it operates in, and since 2012 has seen more than $5 million worth of funding go into community projects and groups.
