New environmental economics report 
A new annual report written by Statistics NZ highlights the importance of natural resources to the economy. The System of Environmental Economic Accounts (SEECA) Report summarises NZ's stocks and flows of natural capital, the impact of human activity on the environment and what's being done to protect it. SBC members win big 
Sustainability encompasses the good health and well-being of staff, so it's no surprise to see so many SBC members win prizes at the NZ HR Awards. Congratulations Lion, The Warehouse, Downer, Vodafone, Fletcher Building, BNZ and Mercury!
Pursuing peace, justice & strong institutions
Law firm Anderson Lloyd features in this week's Sunday Star-Times article based on a UN Sustainable Development Goal. The firm wants to help build a fair and inclusive society, and has achieved gender pay parity. It has also set targets to make at least 50 per cent of its partners women. 
Refreshed FMA Governance Handbook
The Financial Markets Authority has released its refreshed Corporate Governance Handbook. The FMA says the principles in the handbook will help businesses build, "A solid base for future growth, value creation, investor confidence and long-term sustainability”
Sustainable Development Goals survey
The World Business Council for Sustainable Development wants to know more about the challenges businesses face when incorporating the Sustainable Development Goals into their strategy and operations. Please take ten minutes to complete this short survey, so SBC and WBCSD can identify the trends and potential solutions for businesses here and overseas.

New Zealand Sustainable Development Goal Summit
Bringing business, government, civil society and tertiary institutions together, to work on solutions that will deliver the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030 in NZ. 

When people sign up for the Summit, they will be presented with the opportunity to propose and develop ideas for discussion topics at the Summit's ‘action stations’.
