The Warehouse Group clears the air
The Warehouse Group has announced it is the third major retailer in the world to go carbon neutral, earning carboNZeroCertTM certification with Enviro-Mark Solutions. It has set an ambitious goal to reduce its emissions by 32 percent by 2030, and offset the rest with native forest regeneration and Gold Standard carbon credits. The company has also released this document, which details what it has had to do to get to this point. 
Aurecon & Spark supporting LGBTQI+
Aurecon has announced it is the first engineering firm in New Zealand to achieve the Rainbow Tick. The certification process helps organisations become safe, welcoming and inclusive for people of diverse gender identities and sexual orientation. Spark has also had its work to support the LGBTQI+ community highlighted in this Idealog article.

Kiwi consumers looking for kindness
Meridian Energy CEO, Neal Barclay, has written an article about the increasing consumer demand for kindness in business, as well as sustainability. He writes, "In the past, sustainability has brought up images of tree planting, recycling or beach cleanups but these days Kiwis see sustainability as having a social dimension as well, like paying staff a fair wage or affirming the value of diversity among a workforce."  
How do we make the big changes?
The Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership has released its ten-year plan to lay the foundations for a sustainable economy, called Rewiring the Economy. It outlines ten interconnected tasks that business, government and finance can tackle, to help create an economy that encourages sustainable practices and positive outcomes for societies and people.
Thinking about electric vehicles? 
Meridian have published a guide for businesses converting their fleet to electric vehicles. The company hopes other organisations will be able to take something from the lessons they've learnt.

partnership with Chargetrip, to adapt a popular EV journey planning app to New Zealand roads, and help ease range anxiety for drivers.
Review into low-emissions inquiry complete
A review of the Productivity Commission's inquiry into a low-emissions economy has been released, with the author concluding it was, "A rigorous piece of investigation, which has produced an ambitious but credible strategy to transform the New Zealand economy into a low emissions economy". The Productivity Commission's Chair, Murray Sherwin, has also written this article, outlining the role he believes New Zealand can play in reducing global emissions
