Infrastructure resilience key challenge for NZ

Phasing out single-use plastic bags 
The Government has announced consultation on phasing out single-use plastic shopping bags. This follows Countdown planning to move away from plastic bags by the end of 2018 and shows once more the value of business leadership on sustainability issues. 
What's the carbon footprint of our buildings?
SBC member and environmental consultancy Thinkstep recently published an article in BRANZ Magazine (also a member) about measuring the carbon footprint of buildings using a lifecycle approach, including manufacture of building products and treatment of building waste. 
What's ahead for the future of work?

Also at the meeting, we launched our Annual Snapshot of SBC work, looking at highlights from the climate, consumer decision-making, sustainable leadership and social impact work programmes, and what's ahead for the next 12 months.
