Power in diversity

Flexible working a winner  
IAG New Zealand has been highly commended at this year’s Diversity Works New Zealand Awards for its flexible working initiative. The MyFlex programme ensures people have access to a range of flexible working options that suit their needs, as well as the needs of the business. 
Flick Electric and Z Energy join forces
Two SBC members team up as Z Energy invests in Flick Electric. The move will combine the best of both organisations for maximum innovation in the energy sector in the transition to a lower carbon future.
Reporting season continutes
What a big week for NZ annual reports and sustainability activity! Genesis has published its annual results, a Sustainability Framework and video overview, while new member THL have gone completely online with their second Sustainability Report.  
Meridian's Integrated Report uses the Integrated Reporting Framework and GRI Standards, plus they've released the group's Greenhouse Gas Inventory Report. Mercury have published their Sustainability Statement and AECOM's Global Sustainability Report looks at building a more resilient world in response to natural disasters. To have your report featured here, email Catherine. 
What does an eco-label mean?  
BRANZ provide a useful guide to the different eco-labels available, including SBC member Environmental Choice New Zealand. This is a great communication piece to help clear up confusion about the various types and applications of different labels in NZ. 
The energy event of the year 
The 2018 Asia Pacific Energy Leaders' Summit, to be held in Wellington 31 Oct - 1 Nov, will look at the shape of the future energy system and how can you be a part of it. Early-bird registration closes soon. Hear from Tina Frew, Biofuels Strategy Manager, Z Energy about why she's looking forward to the event.
