Climate Reality Leadership is for all of us
A team from Enviro-Mark Solutions recently attended Al Gore's Climate Reality training. Their top 3 takeouts:
1. Climate change is happening now & we need to act urgently
2. Success will be from working together
3. It needs to be a fair and just transition for all
And Mike Roan from Meridian Energy and Adele Rose from 3R were among the
40 Kiwis who attended.
How do we talk about climate change?
Nikki Wright from Wright Communications looks at the language we use when talking about climate change, and how that affects whether or not we take action. And Eleni Polychroniadou from thinkstep in the UK, looks at the power of every individual to make a difference.
Making a low-waste daily cuppa
Like a lot of Kiwis, the Warehouse Group love their coffee. And now they’re cutting down their waste in the Store Support Office by removing single-use cups from their on-site cafe, saving an estimated 100,000 cups a year.
Outstanding reporting
Congratulations to Sanford who picked up the top award for Annual Report of the Year at the Australasian Reporting Awards last night in Melbourne, as well as being finalists in the Integrated Report and Sustainability Report categories, and achieving the Gold Award standard once again. Fonterra and Watercare both received Gold Awards, and Watercare won the Public Sector Sustainability Reporting Award.

The Trust administers the Environmental Choice New Zealand (ECNZ) ecolabel on behalf of the Government.  The draft specification will be open for comment till mid-August.
