This week in our anniversary celebrations we talk to Sir Stephen Tindall
one of the original founders of the New Zealand Business Council for Sustainable Development in 1999. He talks about how the NZBCSD started, what progress has been made in the last 20 years, and what are the opportunities in future.
100+ businesses acting on climate
Congratulations to the Climate Leaders Coalition for welcoming their 100th signatory on Monday - agritech and herd improvement co-operative, LIC. Oxygen Consulting, Victoria University of Wellington and Jacobsen Holdings have also joined since then. As James Shaw acknowledged, action on climate change will take commitment from all of us. Thank you for making that committment.
Toyota dealers attain highest environmental standard
After nine years of progressively working on environmental initiatives, all 64 Toyota and Lexus dealerships around New Zealand have achieved Enviro-Mark Diamond certification. Congratulations!

Christchurch Airport debuts autonomous shuttle 
The future is here. Never mind your rocket pack, New Zealand's first Smart Shuttle is being trialled at Christchurch Airport for public use, carrying up to 15 adults. It is autonomous, electric and parts of it have been 3D printed.
Plastics-Free July
Ministry for the Environment are doing a good job reminding everyone that single-use plastic bags are on their way out, with the hashtag #BagKeysWalletPhone. What's your play for Plastics-Free July? Share your stories with us and we'll run a feature every week.

On 24 July, businesses who want to reduce their emissions can attend three workshops run by Climate Leaders Coalition signatories in the morning session. Choose from: measuring and reporting emissions; setting targets and transition planning; financing; quick win projects; carbon credits and offsetting, and business reputation and consumer behaviour change.
