Supporting the Chch Muslim community
Our hearts go out to all those affected by the attacks on Friday. We take comfort from the outpouring of generosity to the various funds set up - Kiwis supporting Kiwis as our colleague Ryan puts it. We also applaud the call by Vodafone, Spark and 2 Degrees as well as BNZ, Westpac and other large advertisers for change on social media platforms. And in the spirit of turning towards eachother, not away, we appreciate this piece highlighting the voices of Muslims in New Zealand
New partnership for forestry portfolio
Air New Zealand, Z Energy NZ, Contact Energy Ltd and Genesis have joined forces to establish a forestry portfolio to sequester carbon as Drylandcarbon - Climate Leaders Coalition signatories and SBC members coming together to mitigate climate change.

Auckland and Wellington get FutureFit
Just before the Auckland Climate Conference this week, Auckland and Wellington City Councils released FutureFit, NZ's first ever game-based carbon footprint tool to help consumers measure and reduce their carbon footprints. And at the conference, Auckland Council presented new research looking at the risks for Auckland from climate change.

Government update on energy portfolio
The Hon Dr Megan Woods spoke at a Business Energy Council breakfast in February about her thinking on the energy portfolio for 2019. The transcript and video are now online. 
How are you working towards the SDGs? 
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade wants practical and inspiring stories of what is happening to implement the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. New Zealand's first report to the UN on progress towards the SDGs could be a chance to showcase your organisation's work. Contributions of 400 words due by 28 March to VNR2019@mfat.govt.nz
