Risk assessment points to window of opportunity
The Ministry for the Environment released the first National Climate Change Risk Assessment this week. It identifies 43 risks we face from climate change, and 10 that require urgent action in the next six years to reduce their impacts. Mike Burrell says New Zealand can emerge a more resilient, sustainable and prosperous country - if we take this opportunity to take the right actions and make the right investment decisions. 
Green Freight 2020 
Several of the companies leading our heavy transport emissions project have been profiled in a new White Paper from the Ministry of Transport as first movers in their sector, including Ports of Auckland, Z Energy, New Zealand Post and Hiringa Energy.    
Ngā Kōrero Whai Take mo Te Kunenga Ki Pūrehuroa
Massey University and The Spinoff have launched Conversations that Count – Ngā Kōrero Whai Take, a new podcast on the important issues facing New Zealand. The first episode looks at equity, equality and why access to education matters with Professor Christoph Schumacher and Justin Latif. 
Environmental stewardship in farming
The latest edition of Ground Effect magazine from Ravensdown showcases farmers leading the way in environmental stewardship, including Māori values, and regenerative agriculture, as well as the compassion and determination behind the Meat the Need initiative. 
Help your business get into an EV or five
Applications are now open for Round 9 of the Low Emission Vehicles Contestable Fund, with EECA and GenLess. This is your chance to get backing for innovative ideas to encourage the uptake of electric and other low emissions vehicles in Aotearoa.  
LCA, LCT and transitioning to a Circular Economy
thinkstep-anz and Massey University contributed to a new LCANZ whitepaper highlighting the role of a life cycle approach in the transition to a Circular Economy. The paper explores how the systems thinking approach central to Life Cycle Thinking and Life Cycle Assessment is a key ingredient for the circular transformation.
