We introduced Mike Burrell, SBC's new Executive Director, to our membership at our annual Start of the Year event last week. EY commits to being carbon neutral by 2020
EY has announced plans to be carbon neutral by the end of 2020, by both reducing and offsetting its carbon emissions in their offices across more than 150 countries, including New Zealand. They will also focus on helping clients innovate and use technology to reduce their own carbon emissions, while driving sustainable economic growth.
Scholarship applications open  
Applications are now open for Catapult Community Leaders Scholarship. How do you create a bold and exciting vision for your not for profit? How do you align and inspire people to that vision? These scholarships are designed to help not-for-profit leaders build valuable leadership skills. Applications close 31 March 2020.
Prod Comm wants to hear from you
The Productivity Commission is seeking your feedback, comments and other evidence on its draft report Technology adoption by firms. This fifth report in the Technology and Future of Work Inquiry looks at what motivates firms' decision making around technology adoption and how governments can better encourage technology uptake by firms and grow productivity. Feedback closes on 17 February 2020. 
Entries  now open for Rainbow Excellence Awards
Entries are now open for the 2020 Rainbow Awards. Many of our members have taken part in previous awards as judges, category winners and finalists. Entries are open until 25 March and the awards will be announced in Auckland on 1 May 2020.

Fuji Xerox has announced progress across its energy, carbon and transport emissions reduction goals in its 2019 Sustainability Report released this week
New face of SBC communications  
Catriona Robertson joined us last week as SBC's new Communications Manager, taking over from Catherine Jeffcoat. Catriona brings a wealth of communications and media experience and many of you will know her through her previous role as the Interim Climate Change Committee's Communications Manager. You'll be hearing lots more from Catriona and she is very keen to hear and share your news across our membership!
