thinkstep-anz signs on to TCFD
In a move to understand the relationship between climate change and business, thinkstep-anz has joined SBC members Air New Zealand and Contact Energy in supporting the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD). The Task Force offers a set of recommendations for voluntary and consistent climate-related financial risk disclosures.

Congratulations to SBC members recognised for their leading HR practices at the NZ HR Awards last night. Livestock Improvement Corporation (LIC) for Best Wellness Programme and the Organisational Change & Development; Downer New Zealand for Diversity & Inclusion, as well as Leadership and HR Person of the Year awards for Debbie Kirby. What do we do with EV batteries?
Blue Cars has gone from renting electric vehicles to repairing/refurbishing them. Blue Cars is part of the Battery Industry Group convened by Vector and supported by EECA, among others. 
CA ANZ joins climate change call to action
Along with 12 other accounting bodies worldwide, Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand has supported a call to action in response to climate change. According to CA ANZ, the accounting profession can play a significant role in achieving both climate change mitigation and adaptation. 10 years to deliver the SDGs
The United Nations has called for 2020 to usher in a “Decade of Action” to deliver the Goals by 2030. WBCSD has top ten tips to help companies prioritise how they tackle the SDGs. 
Productivity Commission insights into local govt   
The Productivity Commission has looked into areas of local government performance in 5 out of its 14 inquiries to date. It has now released a Local government insights report that brings together the lessons from these five inquiries. Valuable reading for anyone dealing with local government.

Oxygen Consulting, in conjunction with SBC, the Sustainable Business Network and Auckland University of Technology, is investigating the role of the sustainability professional in New Zealand, aiming to shed light on this rapidly evolving profession, the capabilities, enablers and succession pathways to these roles.
