Big anti-racism energy 
Z Energy, The Warehouse Group and Countdown, as well as Foodstuffs and Mitre 10 have signed the ‘NZ Retailers Against Racism Pledge’ to confirm an ongoing commitment to proactively address racism and other forms of abuse at work. Z Energy led the initiative in support of the Human Rights Commission's important new anti-racism campaigns, Racism is no Joke and Voices of Racism
Manage your carbon emissions with TREE  
Oxygen Consulting has launched TREE, a carbon management package designed to help mainstream business action on climate change. Using global standards such as the Greenhouse Gas Protocol and Science Based Targets methodologies, TREE will help businesses get started in understanding and managing their carbon emissions, setting targets, and telling their story.
One giant step closer to RE100  
Suncorp is the first New Zealand insurer to adopt Meridian Energy’s 100% Certified Renewable Energy product. From July 1, nearly 100% of Suncorp New Zealand’s electricity will be certified under the New Zealand Energy Certificate Scheme, which verifies that the electricity it consumes from the national grid can be accounted for within Meridian Energy’s renewable energy production, and supports its RE100 goal.

Research Invitation - NZ Staff Turnover Survey 
SBC members are invited to participate in New Zealand's only comprehensive annual survey of staff turnover. The 2020 New Zealand Staff Turnover survey, brought to us by Lawson Williams Consulting Group in partnership with HRNZ, takes approximately 10 minutes and closes on Monday 3 August.

New member profile: Otago Polytechnic
Sustainability is one of the core values at Otago Polytechnic, and shapes operations and teaching, as well as engagement with businesses, communities and other institutions. It hosts the Regional Centre of Expertise on sustainability and has established over 65 partnerships in the Otago region across areas such as education, tourism, local government (Mayoral representation), water quality, local iwi (bi-cultural connection).
What does leadership on climate action look like?
Dr Rod Carr (Chair, Climate Change Commission) will give the keynote address to the Climate Leaders Coalition business breakfast on 19 August, on leadership on climate action. Register now.
Voting is now open for SBC Advisory Board
Several Council Members have put forward a nomination for one of five positions on the SBC Advisory Board and voting details have been sent to Council Members. Voting is now open until 4 August, and the results will be announced at our Annual Council Meeting on 19 August.
