Focus on the Green Rebound
This week Stuff has published the latest Forever Project supplement - pick it up in your Sunday Star Times if you haven't already got one. A plethora of good member stories in there, but a particular shout-out to the deep dive on how to move industrial heating away from fossil fuels, featuring Fonterra, Synlait and our own Mike B. In other agriculture news, Fonterra will pay farmers more for sustainable, high value milk. 
Unilever's bold ambition on climate and nature 
After ten years of implementing the Sustainable Living Plan, Unilever has raised the bar on its ambition with new commitments, from net zero emissions generated by products by 2039, to regenerative agriculture and water stewardship, and investing €1 billion in a new Climate & Nature Fund, to be spent in the next 10 years.
Track your carbon budget
Westpac has announced a partnership with conscious consumption app CoGo NZ, to help CoGo users in New Zealand track their personal carbon footprint in real-time. More than 3,000 accredited businesses are listed and it has had more than 20,000 downloads. The carbon component has been launched already in the UK and the New Zealand version will be available in August. 
National Volunteer Week 
Over 1.2 million Kiwis volunteer every year. Among those celebrating the work of volunteers around the country are Meridian Energy, Mercury and Ministry for the Environment. This year’s theme is ‘Te Hua o te Mahi Tahi I The benefit of working together’.     
Calling emerging community leaders
Applications for the 2020 Catapult Community Leaders Scholarships have reopened after being put on hold due to Covid-19. Four scholarship recipients will receive a fully paid spot on Catapult Leadership - a four day residential leadership programme - in 2020 or 2021.
Apply by 31 July 2020.
We need to prioritise loneliness in social policy
WSP and The Helen Clark Foundation have released the first report of their partnership, Alone Together, looking at the impact of loneliness on the people and communities of Aotearoa.
All-hands-on-deck for a regenerative recovery 
All hands are needed on deck to recover better by combining business and government action. thinkstep-anz explores how the Living Standards Framework can guide the recovery process in their latest article for NZ Manufacturer. 
Reporting lines catch another one 
Once again, Sanford's sustainability reporting has been recognised in the Australasian Reporting Awards, taking out the prize in the Private Sector - Communication category, and Watercare Services has won the Public Sector - Communication category. Sanford was also a finalist in three other categories.   
SBC Advisory Board elections
It's SBC election time! We are calling for nominations from Council Members for CEOs or other senior executives for one of five positions on the SBC Advisory Board, by 10 July. Voting by Council Members will run 20 July-4 August, and the results will be announced at SBC's Annual Council Meeting on 19 August. Details have been sent to Council Members.
