Global business responds
The World Business Council for Sustainable Development is also collecting stories on how businesses are responding to Covid-19, including advice from KPMG on the business implications.

Towards Transparency... but not yet
More NZX-listed companies than ever before are including sustainability disclosures in their reporting, but over half of NZX-listed companies are still not reporting on sustainability issues, as outlined in the latest Towards Transparency report from Proxima. 
Westpac NZ now carbonzero
Westpac NZ has become New Zealand’s first carbonzero certified bank, and announced a range of new initiatives to help their customers tackle climate change. This includes measures aimed at improving New Zealand’s housing stock, reducing the country’s carbon footprint and supporting businesses to reduce climate impact. To celebrate, they are collaborating with Trees That Count. Share this Facebook post and they'll plant a native tree on your behalf.   
How to transition your fleet to electric
Drive Electric has produced a new white paper, Making the Move: How Some of New Zealand’s Leading Organisations Have Gone Electric, with support from The Warehouse, Auckland Council and Westpac NZ.

Call for Nominations – Waste Minimisation Fund 
The Ministry for the Environment - Manatū Mō Te Taiao is currently seeking nominations for panel members to serve on the Waste Minimisation Fund (WMF) assessment panel for a period of three years. Apply before 2 April. 
New inquiry into NZ's most productive firms 
The Government has given the Productivity Commission a new inquiry into the economic contribution of New Zealand’s frontier firms. As the most productive firms in the domestic economy within their own industry, frontier firms diffuse new technologies and business practices into the wider economy and are vital to productivity. An issues paper will be published in April.

ASB’s climate change strategy is focused on reducing emissions; understanding climate-related risk; and working with customers, suppliers and their people to support New Zealand’s transition to a low carbon economy.
