Reporting worthwhile for smaller organisations 
Sustainability reporting can be daunting for smaller organisations. thinkstep-anz share their reporting journey in this guest blog to help others on the path to success. Shoutout for sustainable banking
Kiwibank has been named by the How to Save the World podcast as New Zealand's most sustainable bank, assessed on performance across things like carbon footprint, sustainable procurement, social and environmental activity, where banks are putting their money, and which banks are actively trying to make a positive difference. The episode also highlights great achievements in sustainability across the banking sector. 
How will lockdown change our office spaces?  
A survey of employees at Suncorp New Zealand has revealed that community and connection (79%) and collaboration and problem solving (66%) are the main drivers for employees wanting to return to the office at least part time following a period of working at home due to Covid-19. This might result in a need for fewer individual workstations, and more larger team areas or hubs.
2020 L’Oréal Women in Science fellowship
Marine environmental scientist, Dr Shari Gallop, from the University of Waikato, has been awarded the 2020 L’Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science fellowship to further research how restoring New Zealand’s waterways could combat climate change. For the first time this year, in New Zealand and Australia, the programme is dedicated to scientists investigating solutions to climate change. 
Buy NZ ... Code? 
Our friends over at Buy NZ Made have launched the first new brand addition in 13 years, supporting New Zealand-based software and technology companies at New Zealand Code: www.nzcode.com. NZ Code services are growing at $1 billion per annum, and are forecast to be the #1 export earner within 3 years.

2021 Sustainability Professionals Research 
Last chance to have your say on what goes into the 2021 survey of sustainability professionals. Last year, Oxygen Consulting, AUT, SBC and SBN released research based on interviews with 130 New Zealand sustainability professionals about their roles. Send your feedback by 2 November.
