Sustainability efforts recognised
Former SBC Advisory Board Chair and Toyota NZ CEO Alistair Davis has been made an Officer of The New Zealand Order of Merit for his services to the motor industry, business and sustainability. Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition. 
We're not scared of the future of work
The Covid-19 lockdowns may have been a dress rehearsal for the future of work: we saw companies changing faster than they thought possible, and realising how important it is to engage employees in that change. Updated guidance on measuring emissions
The Ministry for the Environment has released the 2020 Measuring Emissions: A Guide for Organisations (previously known as the Guidance for voluntary greenhouse gas reporting), to help organisations wanting to voluntarily measure and report their greenhouse gas emissions.  
Pay gap more than a gender issue
Expect conversations about the pay gap to dominate 2021, with discussions spanning more than just gender, says Diversity Works New Zealand Chief Executive Maretha Smit.

The draft first package of advice will lay out the pathways needed to reach net zero emissions by 2050. It includes the country’s first three emissions budgets and guidance on the direction of the first emissions reduction plan.
