Research findings on sustainability professionals positive despite Covid

Leading forest free-range farm pioneers sustainable egg production

SBC member Wright Communications is leading PR on the opening of a forest free-range farm pioneering sustainable egg production in New Zealand. Under the Heyden Farms Free Range brand for Better Eggs Ltd, the forest free-range farm is an agroforestry venture combining forestry and poultry enterprise.

New law for financial sector on climate impacts

New Zealand has become the first country in the world to introduce a law that requires the financial sector to disclose the impacts of climate change on their business and explain how they will manage climate-related risks and opportunities. 

New emissions report 

A new report from the Ministry for the Environment has found that New Zealand's greenhouse gas emissions rose by 2 percent in 2019. In response, the Minister of Climate Change, James Shaw says every part of Government will need to take urgent action to bring down emissions.
