Launched: A pathway to freight decarbonisation  

The Low Carbon Freight Pathway report was launched last Friday at our event at Toll Tamaki, outlining an ambitious but achievable 30-year pathway to progressively decarbonise New Zealand's freight system. EECA opens round 2 of GIDI 

The second round of the Government Investment in Decarbonising Industry (GIDI) Fund is officially open. It's available to NZ-based private sector businesses who are committed to decarbonising their business and industrial processes, and where Government co-investment will help remove barriers to accelerate their goals. Applications to the GIDI Fund Round 2 close on 17 May.

How's NZ doing on SDG reporting?

56 out of Australia and NZ's top 100 companies use SDGs in their reporting. thinkstep-anz’s new SDG Status Report reveals which SDGs companies are selecting, how they are selecting them, and how SDG reporting is supported by standardised reporting frameworks like GRI and <IR>. 

Consultation opens on ETS changes

The Ministry for the Environment wants to hear from people interested or involved in the New Zealand Emissions Trading Scheme (NZ ETS) about proposed changes to the ETS and synthetic greenhouse gas levy regulationsSome of the changes are more significant this year – so it’s worth a look at the consultation if you’re involved in the scheme. The consultation period closes 28 May.

Share your story of diversity

Do you have a personal journey of diversity and inclusion you'd like to share, or has your organisation shown leadership in this area? HRNZ is looking for stories of breakthroughs in diversity and inclusion to be shared at their annual conference on 23 June. Submissions close on 30 April. 

Reporting corner

Fujitsu has announced a significant update to its greenhouse gas reduction targets, revising its emissions reduction targets for its business sites in 2030 from 33% to 71.4% below 2013 levels. The 'Fujitsu Group Environmental Action Plan' has also been released to help stakeholders contribute to achieving environmental targets.
