Kiwi carbon-zero beef US-bound  

Silver Fern Farms is about to launch its carbon-zero certified beef in the United States. Alongside Fonterra and Lion, Silver Fern Farms joins a premium group of Kiwi food and beverage companies with Toitū carbonzero certified export products.

Farm trials for Fonterra’s Kowbucha

Fonterra has launched on-farm trials using potential methane-busting homegrown Kowbucha probiotics to reduce cow emissions. The project has identified probiotic strains that could reduce bovine greenhouse gas production naturally.

Climate-conscious contracts 

The Chancery Lane Project (TCLP), AECOM and MinterEllisonRuddWatts joined forces in a recent webinar (recording | slides) examining the TCLP toolkit and how its climate-conscious contract clauses can be used as part of your organisation's sustainability strategy and procurement processes.

A new WBCSD guide for credible business action towards a nature-positive world by 2030 includes net-zero and equitable world ambitions. A new Productivity Commission inquiry into persistent disadvantage seeks new insights, informing recommendations to help whānau and communities realise their potential. Preliminary recommendations are likely in mid-2022, with a final report in March 2023.
