New sea-level data reinforces need to build climate resilience | For the first time, New Zealanders can see how much and how fast sea-level will rise in their local area via a new online tool from NZ SeaRise: Te Tai Pari O Aotearoa programme. The new data reveals sea-level is rising faster than we thought and continues to highlight the need to urgently build Aotearoa’s climate resilience as part of our climate change response.

Woollen kayak reduces plastic use | Torpedo 7, a subsidiary of The Warehouse Group, has created the world’s first woollen kayak, replacing models made with two kilograms of plastic or 400 plastic bags. The Kakapo kayak is 35 percent wool fibres and polyethylene.
