Shell NZ

Shell is one of the original pioneers of the New Zealand energy industry, beginning exploration in the South Island in 1911. Today it is the majority owner and operator of New Zealand's key natural gas fields in Taranaki - Māui, Kapuni and Pohokura - meeting around 70% of New Zealand's domestic natural gas requirements.

Shell aims to invest in safe and reliable energy sources for customers while working alongside communities and partners to minimise impacts, contributing to a more prosperous New Zealand and delivering attractive returns for shareholders. We strive to be the country's most competitive and innovative energy company. The foundation for this strategy is based on our core values of: honesty, integrity and respect for people. Underpinning this vision is a rigorous operating framework and management system.

The company employs some 400 people and Rob Jager is both the Chairman of Shell Companies in New Zealand and the General Manager of Shell Todd Oil Services (STOS) limited.
